Nov 1, 2007 in Hawaii

It was a funny story how I find out the meaning of the word "Déjà vu ". In simple terms, that means "remember the future", the experience of feeling sure that you have experienced a new situation previously.
Although it is not the most accurate word to use still, it kind of explained how I feel today.
This is my second time in Hawaii... the last time, all I can remember are the cruise, the volcano, the rain forest and the people.
This time, I am spending a whole week in Maui, an island with a beautiful name. I have a day off today (do not need to be at today's meeting), and five of us rented a car and drove to La Haina. I walked on the streets, did some shopping and then we were there to visit the old Banyan tree which was planted in the 18s'. The moment I saw the tree, I said "you know what ... I'm sure I were here before...". And this is no kidding, I think I were actually there in 2001. This, I am sure.
In the afternoon, we went to the Iao Valley, a small valley with a small Hawaii nature museum. I didn't get to see the museum today as it was closed, but I remember the earth model inside the museum (which I saw through the windows), and the I felt exactly the same. I remember the location of the parking lots, the museum and the bridge, etc. But this one, I am not totally sure.
I do think about the 2001 Hawaii trip a lot. Although I don't quite remember the details, I have very sweet memories of the poeple, and the little little things that happened there. Its pretty amazing to have such a memorable trip with a company and then to start a new job with another trip to Hawaii!!
(today, I am using my new laptop which doesn't have Chinese yet, so, do bare with me for a little longer until I fix that...)
